I will have to say that the Top 40 has been doing great so far. I’ve been able to get in contact with several bloggers, which hopefully will one day turn into friends. All the feedback received so far has been positive and it seems that a lot of people like the concept and would like to support it. I believe that the Top 40 has a lot of potential and could be helpful for the WordPress community.

I think that the Top 40 will not only help WordPress users by having all the top blogs in one place, but also help bloggers get to know other fellow bloggers and possibly work together in new projects and such that will bring positive results to the WordPress community. Last week, WordPress won a 2007 Open Source CMS Award as Best Open Source Social Networking Content Management System and last keep it that way for more years to come by supporting and making WordPress even better.

I’ll try to update the Top 40 on a monthly basis and search for new blogs with great content. Promoting the Top 40 Blogs About WordPress is still appreciated, so I created a 125 x 125 ad, if you have space in your blog, please help out:

I’ve created a Top 40 blogs about WordPress. The list contains blogs that post WordPress news, tips, tricks, tutorials, themes, plugins, support, and more. I didn’t include blogs that just listed WordPress themes and/or plugins in their posts. Top 40 at WPTG (WordPress Themes Gallery) was inspired by 45n5′s Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs.

WPTG’s Top 40 Blogs About WordPress is:

• A must have bookmark for blog readers interested in WordPress;
• An easy way for bloggers to see how friends and competitors are doing compared to them;
• A great list for advertisers interested in placing ads.
